International variety which rightly took its name from the German word gewurz meaning spicy. Grown in the mountains of Aigialeia, at a 400 m altitude
Intensely aromatic spicy note with floral notes of rose. Full in the mouth with a greasy feeling. Pleasant acidity with a smooth aftertaste.
Asian cuisine with soy sauce and chiles, Indian curries and roast or grilled meats with fruit sauces or chutneys are ideal foods to match. Chicken satay, pork roast stuffed with apricots and almonds, lamb curry, Thai food, barbecued meats and smoked trout are examples of Gewurz-happy dishes. Cheese choices can include smoked Gouda or provolone, jalapeno Jack, feta and goat cheeses. Serving Temperature: 10-12 °C
